EDIT: And what really annoys me is candidates asking me if I've decided who I'm going to vote for when I arrive at the polling station. Do they think I've walked down there without knowing who I'm going to vote for? That I'm going to vote for the first one who talks to me...

Ahh yes... 1 month of pure "joy" for you guys in UK...

Not as annoying as US elections where every other ad on tv is a "vote for me" ad, or even worse, a "don't vote for them" ad.

I know who I'm voting for, so the next month is just going to be grown men calling each other names. If I wanted that I'd go to work Maybe there's some way to opt out of seeing election coverage...

On a side note, not intended to be political, there were some fantastic party names up for voting at our local elections. The Roman Party, not sure what their manifesto was but I'm fairly certain they didn't get their deposit back

Smelling Dandelions. Does it every time you know.

Where is Adolf Hilter (note spelling) running for office this year? Is it still Luten? And Ron Vibbentrop?

I believe he's running for Minehead. His manifesto includes annexing Taunton.

Well, it IS historically part of Minehead, you know.

They probably wouldn't be able to get away with that sketch these days Which is strange because TV gets away with some real **** lately.

Smelling Dandelions. Does it every time you know.

I thought smelling dandelions just resulted in spontaneous decapitation? Hmm..learn something new every day, I guess.

He used to live in Chicago. They don't get it as bad there as most of the USA. They don't really have an election, just a primary.

Well, Illinois is only the most corrupt state in the union, so why would they bother with elections...

You know, Louisiana and New Jersey both take umbrage at that characterization.

It's tightly contested. You can guess what 'incentives' are provided for the judges to make their choices.

ETA: Honestly, I'd say it's a two dog race. Illinois and Louisiana are both favorites.
