Running 1.02 on a 64 Vista, very high spec machine.

- Races will not allow you to choose a special government type when making a new game. Ie: Quemeno cannot be set to a technocracy, Sluken cannot be set to Hive mind, Etc.

-The automated ship builder will not build ships with your special race component. I'm playing a game a Quemeno and the automated ship designs use the newest reactor reserched, not the top end reactor that i started with.

Will post more as i see them in my current game. So far, good job.

Edit:

-On the ship card when a mission is too lengthy it just gets cut off. I know my constructor is building a space port, i just don't know where?

Does the yellow/orange 'throbbing' colour at super nova stars supposed to be an effect or a bug?

The AI *REALLY* hates armed merchantmen. Despite the fact that you cannot control them at all, and they just go where ever they please, the AI appears to treat them as "military" and complains at you to remove them, even though you can't. Not arming them results in them being constantly destroyed or disrupted by the random monsters, and your fleet cannot realistically be everywhere. Plus, they kick ass.

Hi folks,

I feel like I've posted this a couple of times but I can't seem to find when I search for them so I'm afraid I'm gonna ask again...

Is the yellowish orange flashing area at supernovas a bug? Or is that just the effect you get when you zoom in?

That is a design feature. Or an epileptic seizure inducing feature. Take your pick.

This pulsing yellow/orange effect is by design. That's the intense radiation field left over from the supernova explosion... This effect actually drains the shields from any ships or bases in the supernova.

I do know that some races cannot use some governments; technocracy and hive mind are special governments, iirc.

Wouldn't the radiation be outside of the visible spectrum and therefore not visible on the screen, though? Red/orange is not quite the picture of high-intensity radiation.

Yes, I am aware that many races cannot use special government types, however, when I specifically chose a race IE: Teeken , I can't choose to have their government type the special government type IE: Mercantile guild. Only the standard government types show.
