Kick the hippie? That sounds fun! And what a great activity for an old grouch like me, I can be in a bad mood and have fun at the same time. Just need some steel toed boots.

BAH!!!

AW1,

So what was it like to serve under John Paul Jones? If not there what was it like when you were standing on the shore of Breezy Point as Eugene Ely flew off the USS Pennsylvania to shore?

Back when I was a kid, we didn't have no fancy school buses. We had to ride our dinosaurs to school...up hill both ways...in 20 foot snow drifts!

Dinosaurs? Noob.

We used to dream of riding dinosaurs to school. Best we could come up with is using blue-green algae to slide on with our bare feet to school. My best friend growing up was a paramecium with a glandular condition.

Once we got to school, we would have to learn our periodic table of the elements. Di=Dirt; Ro=Rock. That was it. Two elements and it suited us fine! Nowadays, they've got well over 120 elements. Bah!

I'm not quite that old. But my co-workers all agree that the first ambulance I worked out of was pulled by horses. Not quite true....I remember when we upgraded to horses, though......

I remember the first ambulance I worked out of...it had square wheels, made of rock! The ride wasn't smooth at all....come to think of it, things haven't improved any in that regard...

Luxury.

We had to tie the patient with a rope to the tail of an oxen, and whip it in the right direction.

Hey AW1Steve, is it time to have a block party to string up some concertina wire? Might work as an anti-hippie barrier...

And just for you Hippies....

I suppose I could. Maybe after I re-stock the moat with alligators, finish planting the land mines, and paint the machine gun towers!

"Obsolete" ... Now that's a good word I wish had thought of

That would in AE terms mean that they have passed their withdrawal date?
