Granted, Iīm not suffering the 400 hits on the airfield PzB achieved with his bombardments against AndyMac, but also in this campaign, I canīt confirm that the "toned down" actually works. The losses within the support LCUs at the bombarded base have been toned down considerably but the hits on the base itself is something I canīt see a difference at all. All you need is a high detection level, no difference to WITP here. What happened at Akyab and Chittagong earlier in this PBEM is now happening at Milne Bay... nukes... considering the low aircraft replacement numbers and todayīs losses, this was not really different at all to WITP where the aircraft losses would have been higher but also the replacement rates. I was more than amazed that only one TF bombarded the base, if all TFs would have done a bombardment, we would probably speak about 500+ hits on the base and 4 times more ac lost... considering the number of subs in this area, it would be more than cool if luck would change side at some point and we could get at least a shot at an enemy capitol ship... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submarine attack near New Hanover Island at 104,122 Japanese Ships PB Shoei Maru, heavy damage Allied Ships SS Grenadier PB Shoei Maru is sighted by SS Grenadier SS Grenadier launches 6 torpedoes we only keep on scoring dud torps on already heavily damaged crap vessels... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ASW attack near Toyohara at 125,46 Japanese Ships PB Teshio Maru Allied Ships SS O19 SS O19 is sighted by escort O19 bottoming out ....
