On my galaxy map I see three areas that have red circles. They start small then enlarge, disappear, and start again. In one case I see nothing there, but in other cases I see wrecked ships. Does anybody know what these circles mean?

Is your empire colour red? Are these 3 cirlces on the right side of the planet? Are these 3 circles triangular in shape?

No to all of the above. The red circles are beaconing on the galaxy view and they seem to be coming from star systems, but not from planets or bases. If I take a closeup look in one case the circle seems to be coming from empty space.

These circles appear when you mouseover items in the scrolling text box at the top. It's showing you the location of those events.

I put an explorer right in the middle of one red circle from the star system panel and didn't report anything. I'm beginning to suspect some sort of bug.

Is it this? Did you have the mouse over the text above the top?

If it's not this, is it like a ping? Mine is not red. Mine is like a dark blue, purple black ping. This is info you get from pirates or other races when they say there is secrects from there. It's a bit hard to send a ship there. What I try to do is send a ship there, and then I scroll out a bit and see where the pining is and send the ship closer to the ping.

I am not shure if this is it. If not, then I would say it's some kind of bug. I don't remember reading anything about 3 red circles. Hopefully one of the developers will help you out. I guess they been kinda quiet, must be either sleeping finally LOL, or working on a patch.

The curious thing is that the circles behave somewhat like a ping but the red circle is solid and the line is thicker than a ping. I hope a developer enlightens us.

The red circles are exactly what I described. The dashed circle is something different, and shows up when you discover coordinates to special/story locations. These don't disappear until you go there, the red ones are only supposed to appear while you have your mouse over the link to whatever the event is they're for.

If they aren't disappearing it's probably a bug.
