Seems that Ledo has a limited ability to draw supplies that I have just discovered after getting the first transport air units trained up. The supply level seems stuck at about 4600.

Will I run it down to nothing if I fill Ledo with all of the available transports?

Are there any strategies for filling it up a bit other than using other transport units to fly supply into Ledo?

Have you tried boosting the requested supply button by one notch to see if it helps?  More planes flying from there should also increase the requested supply level.  Is the current supply level of 4600 around 3 times the requested supply level?  That's where the game tries to accumulate to...

I am on patch 3 Sc 1 as allies. I have not seen this problem. Good advise above, but also check other bases nearby - crank those down, including calcutta. Also keep in mind the supply cycles. You may need to wait up to 7 days for full effect of the supply transfer

thanks for the replies.

I have cranked the demand side at Ledo using the buttons. Requested supply is 7k plus.

I have fiddled around by increasing demand for the bases on route to Ledo figuring it might flow down hill so to speak. It seems like there is plenty of supply in India, but I can dial down the intermediate bases on the narrow gauge rail lines in western India if y'all think it would help.

One thing I haven't done is wait a week or so for things to develop. Doh.

I'm in a real life period where I can't play a lot of turns. Lucky for me the AI never complains.

How many supply transport airplanes do most of you usually accumulate in ledo? (sorry to derail). There's one supply air group in India I think, plus that group in china you could release. And several more groups scattered around the map.

Whats the general consensus on how many of those you should release and send to ledo for transport duties?

This number might be different for everyone.

How many transports you need depends on your operations in China also replacements, bomber training, fort and airfield building and such eat supply.

My game is in May 42 and I have 2 CNAC fragments, 31 RAF and 1 unit of C-47 Skytrains, Skytrains just started building and I have 3 units training [Karachi, Calcutta and Bombay] itching to fly the hump when needed. I built up Chengtu to a size 3 airfield to help with possible ops losses. I plan on getting the Dutch Lodestars in theatre but they are stuck in Oz right now supporting operations. I wrapped up the bulk of my building around the same time as the Burma Road closed and only have one unit accepting replacements.

The reason you are having problems drawing supply into Ledo is because of the "max draw" feature implemented with patch 2 or 3. On the base screen, check the supply level on the left side. It will tell you how much supply can be drawn per day. You can increase this number by building the forts and airfield up to larger sizes.

Thank you for that information. I was hoping there was some way to increase it.
