There are merchant ships and tankers in the supply convoys arriving to the off map bases (CD units). How much supply is added per merchant ship and how much fuel is added per tanker when the convoy disbands ?

Welcome to the forum. The Capetown / etc supply convoys are a mechanism to deliver supply and replacement components for the allies. Use your OOB to determine when and where they come in and have the necessary cargo vessals handy to quickly move the supply and fuel should you desire. Those off map fixed units in bases that have thousands of supply at the start of the game cannot move their supply just as they themselves cannot move. My educated guess is the supply placed in said units is enough to keep them in supply the entire length of the scenario, whether or not the base is receiving auto supply. In any event, you cannot access it as long as it is contained in the fixed units, so it is not worth worrying about.

Bump because the OP still remains unanswered and personally I am interested in finding out the answer.

So, when a supply convoy arrives off map with several goodies, they go into the pools (as per page 180 of the manual). But there is no pool for Merchant Ship or Tanker. So what exactly does

Merchant Ship (0) x37
Tanker (0) x1

actually represent. How much supply or fuel is deposited by these merchant ships and tankers, presumably at the off map base.

AFAIK, the onlyplace to find this information is the editor.
While in general 1 merchant ship=6000 supply and 1 tanker=18000 fuel, this is not always true.

I don't know the answer, and I don't want to look in the editor. All I know is a convoy hitting the docks in Cape Town is Christmas in Perth. I always have 20-30 ships sitting in CT to take the goodie bags east. Those re-supply convoys make operations in that map quadrant possible in 1942.
