ORIGINAL: Terminus We also don't have Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin or Ted Stevens. We're doomed, DOOMED! I thought that you repudiated any political discussion on the Thread? I also notice that everyone that you listed came from the right side of the spectrum.Don't you dislike any center or left wing commenators/pols? I didn't mention any because I don't know any. Other than Jon Stewart, of whom I am a fan. As a non-political public service , I'll give some names of left or center commentators (or at any event, non-right wing). Chris Mathews,Joe Scarborough,Rachel Madden,Lou Dobbs,Tom Shales,Joy Behar,Bill Maher (yes, I know that he claims to be a humorist, but so is Jon Stewart) Keith Olberman and Anderson Cooper. I'll let you figure who stands where ,but you shouldn't have any trouble seeing video's of all of the above (I didn't list any print media) and there are many, many more. Just because FOX gets something like 75% of the American viewership, we should not forget that there at least 8-10 other networks out there. I mention these , not as an endorsement (as a person entrenched firmly in the center I've not been able to recommend anyone since Harry Reasoner and Eric Severide passed on.) but just to make it easier to hear other opinons. If you'd like more, please feel free to E-mail me (my email is on the profile page, or find me as log in name at Yahoo.com). Maher is still around? I thought he quit years ago? All the names you list are familiar to me, but only by reputation. Aside from Olberman, who's an <expletive deleted>. Stewart is most definitely not centrist. He's a leftist, even if he's not the pinko-commie that Beck would like him to appear as. Kudos to Bill O'Reily for saying that on his show. Maher is indeed still around ,on HBO , but have moved from nuetral central to openly announced left of center. Stewart is left of center, but still pretty honest , and extremely funny ,(which is the most effective form of commentary. Funny but not generally mean spirited. Maher and Colbert are generally , in my opion , definately mean spirited). You'll generally find those commentators on CNN,MSNBC , and CBS. Most have blogs. One excellent source of links , (even though it's definately right of center ), is the Drudge report. He lists almost every major news source and a great many commentators (regardless of left, right, center or whatever) with easy links.
