I have been dying for a good WWI game for years now. I have spent the last few months reading everything I can find, comparing GoA and AGEOD's WWI. I've hemmed, I've hawwed and finally, today, I bought it!

I'm downloading the manual now, already patched to 1.34, and already used the Member Club knowledge base to fix a launch problem with Trench.exe

I am ready to go! (well, once I get off work tonight anyway)

Sorry. I'm just so excited I had to tell someone.

Once you figure out the HQ system this is really a fun WWI game. Welcome.

Is this game better than Ageod's La Grande Geurre?

I'd have to say "I don't know." I can only say that all the various reviews, AARs, comments on various message boards has led me to believe that what I want in a WWI game will be found in GoA rather than in AGEOD's title (in spite of the higher price tag).

How's that for noncommital :)

I keep going back to playing this fine simulation time and time again. Two quick questions:
1) Any chance additional scenarios will be added in a future patch?
2) In order to invade an enemy port, you need to a) control all sea zones leading to the port b) and have amphibious capabliities for each zone leading to the port- Is this a correct interpretation? At some point, I'd like to attempt the Gallipoli landing, but can't recall ever having been afforded this oppportunity.

You also need to have an activated unit in a port connected to the zone(s) with amphibious transports.
