Now see, I would definitely consider that in the rust belt. All that swath from northern NY through to northern Indiana along the Great Lakes was heavily industrialized and then crashed.

I live in the great Northeastern rust belt, The town I grew up in Quincy had the Fore river shipyard where some of the ships in the game were made. The town I currently live in Attleboro was a major Jewelry manufacturing town but now just some massive rusting hulks of buildings remain of a once vibrant industry. And in other news Saigon fell 35 years ago today sealing the fate of the Republic of Vietnam.

I had a shock to my system the first time I went to New Jersey. We stopped at a gas station, and right across the street was the empty shell of a pre-turn of the century factory (with ornate brickwork, etc). In CA, where I grew up, they would have demolished it 2 minutes after it became vacated.

I guess he's done collecting his danegeld for this week. But I'm sure he'll cheerfully go back to raping and pillaging on Monday, since he loves it so much.
