Tankhead & I have been playing an PBEM battle & it has slid into the twilight zone. Somehow He is playing Hungary & I am Rumania in 1943. I (somehow) managed to get out of synch with him. I see some of his units (say at hex 36,54) and fire on them & they OP fire back. However they are not at that location, having been moved by tankhead several turns ago and now are at, say, hex 33,51. they still, however take suppression from the shots I am firing into hex 36,54!!!! Also 90% of our units are invisible to the other side. It's daylight with fine visibility and open terrain, but our forward lines have just passed through eachother with neither side seeing the other. surrently I have 4 halftracks, 12 tanks and half a company of infantry moving about, not seeing anyone, in the same hexes as a company of Tankhead's infantry, some reccon units, 5 tanks, a dozen loaded trucks and a couple of tank destroyers. Neither side sees the other, but have the * telling them they are being observed. Both sides moral is in the low 40's, but you still should not be able to move a tank its full movement, in daylight, across open terrain, in front of 20 enemy units, park in the same hex as an enemy tank, and, not only not be shot at, but not even seeing or be seen by the enemy.
Other oddities include Tankhead taking all 5 V-hexes with an armoured car while I have troops sitting on them. no shots were fired, no-one was seen.
I think we will scrap this game & try again.
