What do the Red and Yellow exclamation marks mean? I think I have overlooked them somehow.

These and many other useful things were added in Patch 2 in two Addendums to the manual. They can be found, once Patch 2 or 3 is installed, by clicking on "Start", "WITP:AE", "Documentation."

From the patch Readme: " IMPORTANT: Please also read the new “Interface Addendum” and the “Pilot Management Addendum” which have been added to your Documentation shortcut sub-folder and can also be found in your /Manuals installation sub-directory. These two documents contain very important information on improvements and changes in these areas."

Considering how often this question gets asked, I think we need a sticky explaining it.

Yellow exclamation is low supply, below 2x supply requirement but above 1x. Red exclamation is supply below 1x requirement or partisan attacks (you don't have enough garrison in that base if partisan attacks occur).

IMHO, having a large number of "stickied" threads is the best way of drowning those that are really important.

It would be better if people tried using the search function before asking. I made a little experiment - In the main forum, I typed "exclamation" in the search box. It turned up four other threads (apart from this one) that answered this particular question ...

that´s a problem of all forums usually and I´m sure I´ve too asked things that have been answered before... that´s why this forum is so great, you still get (mostly) good answers.

What we need is one sticky that is a FAQ.

Good Idea Bill, FWIW I thought the list of must read threads in the WITP forum was an outstanding resource for the game.

I'd agree with this. The problem with searching a forum -- not just here, but any forum -- is that all too often a logical search string doesn't find what you need. Just as an example, if you're looking for a particular old post, you might have to remember whether the post said "PH" or "Pearl Harbor," and then you'll naturally have to wade through a few hundred posts before deciding you guessed the wrong one.

(Okay, I know that's not a likely search term; it's just the example!)
