Hey guys, I'm back after a long hiatus

And now a dumb newbie question.... Using CHS and playing as the allies, couldn't find the answer in the manual or on the forums for in the last year. A breakdown of which Engineer units are best used for what? Specifically, which ones for construction of airfields / naval bases / repair after raids. Thanks for all your help guys.

Combat engineers are the ones which reduce fortification levels.

All other common garden type engineers deal only with base construction. These are equally efficient as each other. Make sure you have adequate supply present as base construction consumes supply.

Combat engineers can also help build stuff, but ONLY IF there are other (non-combat) engineers in the hex... apparently, they need the non-combat engineers to supervise or something...
