Bravo for playing this through to the bitter end. One actually gets the aura of hopelessness that exists on the part of the allies. Keep fighting the good fight!

Axis, May 24th, 1941

Honorable peace terms have been offered by the Axis powers to end any unnecessary slaughter - but were rejected by the Allied commander. It is of course not for us to end this conflict prematurely - we have to prove it can be completely won.

No doubt Germany has the upper hand right now but the Allies are right to fight on. It is far from trivial for Germany to take all remaining USSR and British VPs. Especially the latter will be tricky in the face of a superior Royal Navy and endless build times for capital ships.

Related news: Mysteriously a large German capital ship build program was suddenly and unexpectedly sabotaged overnight by unknown agents and only one ship of several remains in queue. We don't know what happened to the remainder.

May 24, 1941 : The Axis will win a crushing victory, and there will be no glory in the struggle to come. We have gone this far, and we owe it to our generation, and those who come after us to resist till the last blow is struck. We are not fighting a political struggle, but a contest against evil. The Soviet Union shares the terrible stain of totalitarian shame with the Nazi state, but her people long ago began to fight for their peoples and nation. The British are a shining beacon, and the future must see that free men went down fighting.

Field Marshall Chocolino is going to get an even bigger head. Two overwhelming victories against the East. Can no-one defeat this tyrant!?

The Anglo-Soviets continue with the sacrifice of their people's life apparently to become footnotes in future generation's history books. We hope they do not forget who will write those history books.

You did in an RtV game yourself if I may remind you. (The head is still pretty regular sized by the way.)

Despite reaching the Caspian sea, the Russian units in the Caucasus region are still in full supply since they can trace supply routes from the Russian East via Persia.

Many key victory points remain in Allied / Soviet hands. In 1941 we are still working on finishing off France.

Axis, August 16th, 1941

The Italian amphibious Invasion fleet for Gibraltar located in the Western Med. found out that Gibraltar is technically unassailable from here. (Note: can only be amphibiously attacked form the Atlantic, not from the Western Med., just found this out). Our air attack was only able to damage but not to eliminate the defender. We will now try to use an airborne invasion from Morocco and at the same time move the Italian fleet via the Suez canal around Africa into the Atlantic. But we do this very apprehensively and have much respect for the Royal Navy.

A friendly reader educated me via PM on the airborne rules and that these units cannot be dropped on mountain hexes (i.e. Gibraltar). Thank you for the hint. The lesson for this Axis command: Read your manual!

Since we have bought the airborne unit already we hope to find same later use for it. For now this leaves us with the last option of an amphibious invasion on Gibraltar via the Atlantic. But that will be a while since we want to scout the waters with a few subs first. I would not be surprised if the RN is somewhere hiding along the way just waiting for the RM to come through the Suez canal.
