Yet another problem... If a colony ship is on its way to colonize a planet, and that another empire colonize another of this system's planet first first, your ship doesn't stop nor warn you, an colonize the place anyway. I even prevented one of my ship trying to colonize a world that was already colonized just in time... Maybe I should have let it, just to see what it would have done... I probably would have lost it.

You get the msg, Colony ship xyz has complete his mission. And its just siting before the planet ready to get new orders.

Similar problem - ships kept getting assigned to wait by a planet I intended to colonize. After another race colonized it the military ships kept showing up and causing me "get your military ships out..." messages.
