(4) Incidences: 2 TK were sunk by enemy raider at northern waters. No freighters or tankers sunk by enemy submarine activities at January 1942 in convoy duties. Enemy sub activities in metropolitan waters severely reduced. No enemy subs spotted at inner Sea. HIJMS HOSHO have been dettached from ASW escort duties and will transit in troop convoy escort duty to South Seas. A large ammount of small XAKL have been converted at Ominato-Sasebo-Nagoya to xPBs. Promised 4 Fubuki - II DD (improved ASW) have been delayed for escort duties at metropolitan water due these warships are attached to Combined Fleet War Ops in Java Sea. LONG LIVE TO THE EMPEROR !
