Erik help!!:)

I get the microsoft error report when I exit the game. No biggie since I'm exiting BUT...when I go to load a save game from that sitting the game just exits.

Love the game but if I can't go back to a save I'm sorta screw'd. Ditto trying to load and auto save.

additionally I can go to a save game from yesterday as it didn't CTD the first few times.

re-install? shouldn't think so.

To be clear..I've saved 2 or 3 times in one sitting and can't even load the first one after exiting a game.

So I basically can't play now.

Hi HR2,

Could you post the save file that's causing the issue as an attachment here please?

Also, if there is a consoleout.txt file in your installation directory, please also post that as an attachment so that we can see what's going on.

Regards,

- Erik

Or email it:)

OAN..started new scenario Guad A and saved quick turn, exited w/o ctd error and could start game and load that save.

My original USA campaign game has 5 saves. I can go back to 1 or 2...but not 3,4,5 (5 being my last save).

go figure

Narrowing down some more.

I have 5 saves. I can only go back to 2. I loaded 2 and played a turn, saved, and exited. Upon exit got the CTD error.

Loading 2 again and making just one move, saved, exited with no error, and could load it.

So something is happening somewhere in the move sequence.

And I'm not going to save & exit after each time I move one unit to test:)
Ball's in your court:)

Then tried loading 2, doing nothing but hit next for each country....exited and no error.
I assume this says some move is triggering it.

Previous turn is save 4 (attached)

prior to 4 is save 3 (attaching next post)

save 1 & 2 were ok.

Australian 1st Inf Brig has copied itself.
Any chance that you remember what was doing with it?

Hi Again,

OK, two of us were trying to do it for a couple of times with the same unit. However we were not able to reproduce it.
Is it possible that you will explain step by step what you have been doing with the unit?

Gimme the save game and I'll see is it possible to repair.

It's a part of code responsible for disembarking

Save game please, so I can repair it.

A workaround for this issue will be not transporting units with amph transports and using them only for invasion.

I may have well used amphibious to transport one unit till I realized transport was cheaper...so if thats the work around no problem.

I've had an identical crash - partly because one of the Aussie divisions didn't want to load on to sea transport to get to Moresby - out of one of the East coast ports
