I went to DATA folder then to GFX folder. Then created a folder called "[MapSkin]SopMod" and then downloaded the files into this folder. It worked perfectly.  This is a great mod, I love the look of this map.  Well done, Agent S!  Now very much looking forward to the counters mod.

Thanks, the map looks great, I'm not sure if it's my display settings, but I don't seem to be able to switch off the hex grid. I noticed, in ToW, there seemed is a switchable hex grid, but even with that switched, off there seemed to be a backgound grid. If that's right, is SoP the same.

I think the problem in using SoP is that you need to use a much higher level of zoom-out than is usual in ToW, because the strategic areas are so much larger. Can the map text size increase as the view is zoomed-out, although that means that where place names are close together, it might mean some labels overlap.

Looking forward to the counters mod, Thanks again.

Very, very nice, Agent! Now it is almost possible to start learning the game.

Must say I'm tempted to skip any of my own planned work for moving the ETO graphics to SoP and use yours instead.

The dividing lines between sea areas must be thicker, however!

Excellent work Agent S

I especially like what you have done in the sea zones, the hex within hex.

Is there a way to get rid of the grid when you zoom out?

This grid is in the mod, it is in addition too the regular game grid and doesn't respond to f2 or the grid button in the preference screen. It shows up when you zoom out, the ocean has a distracting grid over it.
Thanks

This is graphic problem - hexes in png files are too small, they need to be few pixels bigger than actual hex size.

Highly appreciate your work. Beautiful look of the map. Some great ideas & brilliant execution. Still trying to learn (esp. "others" & "apperance") from you. Keep up your good work.

Sorry, I meant no disrespect, I like the mod. I was just trying to explain to doomtrader what my question refered too.

I have made some adaptions to your mod, merging it with some elements of the ToshMod, to create a clear ocean display. In conjuction with the transparent combat results box, I find it much easier to follow the action and plan at all map scales. Thanks to all on this forum this is going to be a great game.

It's not really my mod, as all I did was adapt other people's work, so I'd like to get their 'say so' first.

Here's a try at a screen shot.

I have to emphasis that this is mainly the work of AgentS and TH1207, I have merged the two mods to get a result that works well on zoomed out settngs, essential in the Pacific War.

Mainly showing large scale shots, which is what I think you need to see for the huge ares which are needed for planning. I think this AgentS and ToshMod merged mod works well on zoomed-out displays.

Text is still readable on zoomed-out settings
