So why don't we as players try to detail what bugs we find while playing the game in one clear thread. That way the devs can easily see what people run into.

*Campaign map AI just sits there. It's basically inactive at the moment. To me this is a gamebreaker.
*Vehicle pathfinding is a disaster for the human player. The only way to move a vehicle somewhere is to babysit it through waypoints.

Thanks Trash78. Both of these have been reported and being looked into. We DEFINITELY appreciate the concerns about organization of the information you guys are providing us with. We have a bug tracking system we use for that exact reason.

Nice to see you guys take action on these. Here are some more I ran into.

*Half tracks are extremely hard to kill. Harder than anything else in the game really.
*Even after sitting in one position for a long time a mortar or machine gun team still starts to 'set up' when ordered to fire.

Kzone we'd like to help you. We need some information from you. Have you tried what our lead developer has suggested first? This will help us narrow down if the game is at fault or if it's an issue with your computer. Please try that first then report back. Please continue to be patient a little longer.

As Mafi suggested:
quote:

do as Steve said:
- turn into "windowed mode" (General settings), but you must do this setting probably twice.
- for accessing the options screnn again you must click into the black hole again,
- then you can keep videos on.

Thanks!

Wouldn't hurt to check/update DirectX and video card drivers versions....

DirectX = 9.29.1962 released June 8/2010 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3

ATI = 10.6 released on June 16/2010 http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx

Thx for response. General settings in the game? Can't see the game, how do i get to the settings? I have 10.6 drivers and dx sdk from june. I can go in the file and open and view all videos and maps with no problem. When I start up, I see the opening screen and the matrix logo and then the first video of the planes flying over is clipped in black in corners or sometimes covering the whole scene. The ww2 vintage videos also have black squares on them, Once the videos end, screen goes black, Im sure the game interface is there cause i can click blindly and it appears to be clicking on something. When I alt tab to get to desktop, the resolution is 1024 x 768 on my usual 1920x1200. Once at desktop I close the game and desktop reverts to 1920....

Just deleted and reinstalled, no change....

No need to reinstall any more than you have. Have a look at the post in the link below. Start there. Please stick to responding in that thread. If you post in one spot we can find your responses easier and sooner. Thanks.

Thanks Juggalo. Looks like it needs a tweak in that one spot. Will do.

raised in some of the AI threads.

*Tactical AI too aggressive.  Always rushes for flags even when on the defense.

A small (but annoying IMO) bug:

When I'm in the strategic map deciding what moves to make, i'd like to preview the map (which I might or might not enter). However, after having previewed it (by clicking on the map's icon), it's quite annoying that the game takes you back all the way south to a default area in the bottom of the strat map (at Valkenswaard / Eindhoven).
For example when you're deciding on strategy all the way up north at Arnhem it's a long scroll up to Arnhem each time. It doesn't effect the game itself, but it eats off my precious gaming time :)

So it would be nice (and logical) if I were taken back the actual map on the strat map which i was just previewing.

Hope you guys can fix this!?

Cheers from an hour north of Arnhem!

Brit 2-inch Mortar teams only get 10 shells max.

Seems a bit low......

In this image you can see a square appearing where the return key was used.

Thanks Dundradal. Will take care of it.

*EDIT*
Hmmm strange. Not seeing that on my end. Did you do anything special with the settings for the scenario? Or did you use the default settings. What side were you playing?

*EDIT again*
Same result for both sides. Briefing looks fine. Perhaps related to language or font settings?

That's how it appeared on the initial start up. I hadn't touched a single setting. It was running in whatever is default resolution. I'm also running XP.

Could indeed be language specific, I'm using German system language here and encountered the same prob.

I'm having a similar sort of issue, but more specifically that the AI on the Allied Guards units which are supposed to be attacking up the highway have just been sitting still for 4 battles so far - I've just finished 0600 on Sep 18. And in that last battle, I saw exactly one Allied squad (I'm playing as the Germans). They've really made no concerted effort at all to attack, which seems ridiculous given that at this time they're supposed to be at Son already from a historical perspective.

Some of the Allied airborne units are much more aggressive, but the one for XXX Corps seems to be doing nothing.

The squares in the text sound like it's related to Windows XP and perhaps language settings. Will report that.

chiroho - Thanks for the extra info. It's being worked on and a solution will be made. Thank you.

What about ANSI vs UTF-8 encoding issues? Vista/Windows 2008/7/2008R2 default to UTF-8 where XP defaults to ANSI. Windows 7 here and no problems with the text.

Yeah we're looking at that. The fact the file is created in the game and saved by the game kind of rules that out. It looks like it's isolated to XP as you mentioned. Perhaps a specific service pack in XP. We're looking into it.
