Fletcher, not necessarily

As I see it, this might mean Holland is going to win. Given that in the Euro Cup he got the final result wrong

Paul was young and rash and fresh out of his egg for his Euro 2008 predictions, so he probably just went for the largest clam. Now, by Octopus standards, he's old and wise and less likely to give in to temptation and bribery.

Really, you are right.. but Paul doesn´t fall in a mistake anytime this year :D... We should wait to the next Sunday.. Good luck for both (Netherlands and Spain).
Best wishes
Ramón

And I'll be down some suitably dingy pub here. Anyway, now that the Germans are out of the picture and happily can't win any more (sorry Germans, nothing personal- feel the same for BRA, ARG, ITA), I find I don't really care who wins between NL and ES... Since we all like underdogs, I'll go for NL, and also, as all the barmaids at the local pub have been wearing orange throughout the WC, I can't be going too wrong..

Go Dutch! I hate orange, but the Netherlands are long overdue for a championship.

Spain will be back.

To me the question is: will Van Bommel finally get the red card he is been looking for during the whole tournament?

And some people on these forums accused the Italian players

Let's be honest, Van Bommel is a very lucky boy to be playing tomorrow. I just hope he looks at the replay of the assault on the Uruguayan in which he could have broken the guy's leg and realises he needs to be less of a { } please insert your own expletive.

Provided Robben, Van Persie and co concentrate on playing football like they can and do not resort to diving and feigning injury like they are prone to, I still want a Dutch victory on balance, but I have to admit as a football fan, Spain are great to watch.

Yes, Van Persie SHOULD appear. It's his last chance Robben and Sneijder are doing a great tournament. Let's see if they can beat the Spanish midfield. It should be tough. And apparently the Spanish players are saying they did not play at 100% yet. They expect to do that in the final.

Looks like Paul The Octopus made a big mistake before (and no, it's not the 2008 Euro Cup Final)

With the World Cup final now under way, I have to say that I've been very disappointed in this tournament. Far too many of the so-called "big teams" have failed so miserably to live up to reasonable expectations of quality of play, effort and enthusiasm. Add to that those miserable plastic horns from hell, the bad refereeing and the stupid new ball and well...

Germany was a positive exception, but that's about it.

The Dutch tried to kick Spain off the pitch, it would have been a travesty if they had won.

Spain are deserved World Champions.

Spain 1 - 0 Netherlands

Congratulations, Spain

Van Bommel didn't get his red card, but the whole Dutch team got LOADS of yellow cards Why? Because they were forced to stop the BEST team Not a lot of fair play from their part but you can understand it...

Oh, and Paul The Octopus has striked again!
