The graphics of this game remind me of Dominions 3. As with that game, I can live with the throw-back graphics if the game itself is good enough. The developers really need to bring it, if this game is to survive.

I wasn't sure about them at first but after playing the demo I thought it worked quite well.

The unit icons in the territories seemed to fit in wonderfully and dynamically.  The whole thing actually looked like it was painted on papyrus parchment as you can see the contours of the strips in a subtle back layer.

The graphics were rather jarring at first glance but I have grown to actually like them now. If the gameplay is solid they will not bother me in the least.

Having played the beta, I have to say I think the graphics are brilliant and really do add to the game.

Agreed, I thought the style of the game was awesome. Demo didn't give enough on substance but it was encouraging.

The graphics is what got me interested in the game.
To me it is ART and it is suited to the theme.  It's not pixels troops... or not unrealistic CG (rag) dolls.
Dominions graphics is amateur-ish.
It's rare that you see games like this these days.
