where will defeated german BGs reappear?

Status: offline 		with the early german groups which attack their way onto the map near the 82nd landing zones south east of nijmegen, and also the germans BGs attacking the southern landing zones near best fromt he west... if i beat off an attack so that group is forced off the map, will they keep coming back into the same spot? or will they reappear at the closest german supply depot? because some of them appear on maps which aren't german supply depots

Status: offline 		Then who the heck are these BGs that are coming in piecemeal? I get Axis battle groups with as little as one, two or three units that "attack" my Allied battle groups. Totally useless.

I'm on Day 20 and I have my lead armor elements up to Nijmegen and I am seeing this up and down my flanks. My settings are Allied player setting is "line" and German player setting is "Green"...if that matters. The AI is attacking...but with very little.

Status: offline 		Yep. I'm assuming it is as a result of that. I dont remember the exact names of the BGs, but I think it was usually the same names, just smaller.

Status: offline 		A new feature in LSA is that a BG can retreat off the strat map on map that has an entry VL if they hold it when the map is lost due to morale failure....

Status: offline 		i didn't look after the battles to see if the groups had disbanded or simply retreated. is there any way i can check, perhaps bring up the save file?

also, do my AB BGs get any extra points, so i can get more men? or are you stuck with the same number of points for the whole campaign, and once they're lost, they're lost? is it the same for the other BGs?

Battle Groups will retreat when routed from a map (due to morale failure) only under the
following circumstances:
»» The battle ends because of a force morale failure;
»» The losing Battle Group holds at least one exit
Victory Location when the battle ends;
»» The exit Victory Location(s) held by the losing Battle Group is
connected to an empty map controlled by friendly forces; and
»» The losing Battle Group has lost all its Victory Locations because
of the force morale differential.(the difference between force
morale of the winning and losing Battle Groups).
If all these criteria are met, the losing Battle Group will retreat by one of the available exit
Victory Locations to an adjacent map. If not, it is forced to disband. Battle Groups that retreat
can’t move on the following strategic turn. Battle Groups can also retreat via an exit location
that leads off the strategic map. For Allied units, the only such exit is ‘from Muese-Escat Canal’
on Valkenswaard. All other off-map exit Victory Locations are German controlled.
Also, a Battle Group will be forced to retreat when it is defending a map that contains a bridge
that is destroyed by that Battle Group.
Battle Groups that retreat off the strategic map will try to re-enter at 0600 during the following
day’s strategic turn.
17.8 DISBANDING
Battle Groups are disbanded whenever they are forced to leave a map, and can’t retreat, either
through loss of victory locations or from morale failure. A disbanded Battle Group becomes
unavailable for the reminder of a campaign or operation. However, some teams/units from a
disbanded Battle Group may be absorbed into nearby friendly Battle Groups as long as they are
under the same parent formation.
If you have only one Battle Group remaining you may not willingly disband it.

Status: offline 		we've already had quite a few battles where the attacking german groups were kicked off the map, but i can't remember if they were disbanded or retreated. if he has an exit VL when the battle ends will the unit always retreat, or is there a chance that he will lose that VL as well?

for example, if he's down to one last VL, which is the exit VL, and he loses morale and the battle ends, isn't there a good chance that VL was also lost, and therefore the unit disbands? i'd really like to know which units disbanded and which retreated before 0600 the next day, that's all. is there any way to check for sure, or do i have to wait until 0600 the next day?

i'm currently not aware of any mechanism to check back on their status.
