Wife and I visited the small church cemetary there a few years back. Four or five generations of my ancestors lie there.

Here is a link to google maps showing the area of Lemon's Bend Kentucky. If you switch to map view, you can still see the road names remain.

I can't remember much about my family, my Granddad (Mum's side) did some family tree stuff but it was on old Amstrad and is lost to the mists of time now.  I wish I'd paid more attention to it.

Some of the family emigrated from Ireland to Scotland () due to religious issues.  Some of the family are Cornish.  If I believe my Grandmother the family is distantly related to some Welsh aristocracy.  My other grandfather's lot, as far as I can tell, are from Lincolnshire.

Most of my family have been cremated.  My grandparents' ashes were scattered on Dartmoor.  No land lords in my family though

My Mum's Mum was in Plymouth when the Luftwaffe were bombing it.  Her Dad was in the Royal Marines, apparently my Grandmother cycled across the parade square during a parade because her Dad forgot his lunch one day
My Granddad was in the RAF, from memory he got a medical discharge.  I'm not sure of the exact details, but some tomfoolery misfired and he ended up in hospital with spinal TB.  Because of that he never really spoke much about the RAF.  He didn't have fond memories and I didn't dare to ask at the time.

MY other Grandfather did some time in the REME for national service, he was a GPO worker in civvy life.

I've got family scattered across the UK, an aunt in Gibraltar and some great aunts etc in Australia (Brisbane I think).
