Well... I somehow never imagined you as a jock (you have shown us your pictures you know)...

Naw. It's an oft-used Marlon Brando quote from on the waterfront. The rest of the quote is 'I could have been somebody. Instead of a bum, which is what I am.'

Ahh... interesting... didn't know that one...

Thanks for info!

Hello guys... I always thought a bum was somebody!

It takes real effort to be a proper bum.

Hi all,

Wife and I went last night to 2 hour concert (in atrium of old medieval castle) of English musicians Philip Pickett and "Musicians of the Globe" - very very nice music old (400+ years old)!

http://www.newlondonconsort.com/default.html

"100 years of popular instrumental music from London's taverns, streets, theatres, coffee houses and music rooms - a survey of real low-life, underground, foot-stomping folky ballad tunes, divisions and country dances from Elizabethan times to the Restoration, with a host of unusual instruments"

Tomorrow I have to go tell two young men that we hired for the summer to box and move a ****-load of files that they've wasted the first week of work in 10000-degree weather, and they'll have to move everything back again. I hate my job.

I'm assuming they get paid no matter how pointless the work?

its worse when you apply for a job....get a rejection email 24 hours later telling you that you are not suitible, then log back onto the job website the next day and find a fresh posting....by that same company for the same job they just told you you were not being considered for....thus eliminating the feel good excuse that "well maybe they already filled the position...."

Makes one feel real competant.

They do, and by the hour. That's the only upside (for them).

Sounds like 1) a government "make-work" job. or 2) someone in charge is a former drill instructor!
