Hello All,

I recently purchased SPWAW with the Mega campaigns. I installed it AOK. I disabled my background programs, but I still have major crash issues.

I wanted to check for updates, but I BELIEVE I have version 8.403 already. I haven't applied any patches or updates as of yet.

Any help or direction to look in?

Thanks Fellas

Make sure C&C is off - it causes crashes with the Megas. If that doesn't solve it, try stopping by the SPWaW Depot. Higher traffic = better chance of fixing the issue. Welcome aboard.

Thank you for the pointers, Goblin.

Two terrible questions for you.

What is C&C, so that I can make sure that it is off.

What is SPWaW Depot, a different forum?

OK OK stop laughing now!!!

Thanks again.

No laughing, we were all new at one time.

Depot = www.spwaw.com

In the preference screen, bottom left, is a button for Command and Control on or off.

It's the official support forum for SPWaW.

j2d is correct - we'll only laugh at you for how you dress or spell.

I hope you get your crashes fixed.

By the way, the only time C&C (Command & Control) causes crashes is with the Mega Campaigns.  Anything else works fine with it turned on.

Not a newbie here, but I got an attack of nostalgia and picked this up a few days ago...

Fully patched to 8.403 or whatever and getting constant crashes. I'm not positive but it seems to be caused by the sound system, or at least the sound starts cutting out right before it crashes.

Doesn't seem like it generates a log file or I'd include it.

WW2 Campaign battles, various types and sizes. 3ghz AMD dual core with 3+ gigs and a Nvidia GeForce 9600 running fully updated WinXP and DX9.0c or whatever it is...

I would if I could find it, the layout over there is pretty hard to follow...can't figure out where any sort of problem questions or answers are!

Yeah, that board design is not user-friendly.
