Got that already. Biggest thing is a month of malaria prophylactics since despite the massive quantities of DEET expended, I was still eaten up by mosquitoes.

Biggest surprise of the trip was discovering two of my native translators spoke German!?!?!? We had great discovering how feeble our German skills were together.

You weren't in Namibia, by any chance? That would explain it.

I've never seen Rush, and my 12 year old son really likes them.  Next time they are in this area, I HAVE to take him.

BTW, go and scalp a ticket!

remember the widow's mite?

Oh, yes. De ting is, de mite be de Roman name for de coin which is also de lepton coin in de Greek, and which de lepton be de spin -1/2 fermion like de quark. Now de quark be da sound de duck make, and de duck is much like de chee-kon - it have de feather and de beak and de skrawny little feet and it tastes just as good with a hoisin sauce. So I t'ink de chee-kon be de nice tithe because it relate to de Gospel story through elementary particle physics.

My Kindle has given me a free copy of Moby Dick. Every reading of this book is amazing. I hated it in High School but find it wonderful now.

For an instant, the tranced boat's crew stood still; then turned. "The ship? Great God, where is the ship?" Soon they through dim, bewildering mediums saw her sidelong fading phantom, as in the gaseous Fata Morgana; only the uppermost masts out of water; while fixed by infatuation, or fidelity, or fate, to their once lofty perches, the pagan harpooneers still maintained their sinking look-outs on the sea. And now, concentric circles seized the lone boat itself, and all its crew, and each floating oar, and every lancepole, and spinning, animate and inanimate, all round and round in one vortex, carried the smallest chip of the Pequod out of sight.

At the coalface, another day i/c Joshua, no idea where Amber is hiding.  Presumably she thinks that if I don't know I can't tell Josh...  At least he seems to like the baby channel so I can go and make some breakfast, sausage and egg sandwich with beans

He's torn up the newspaper when I was distracted with making his breakfast, scared the dog away, been sick on the carpet (Amber'll clear that up later...) and kicked me in the face so it should be nap time soon.
