and already the protests are starting.

Had a facinating discussion last night with a retired Submariner who noticed i was re-reading my dog eared old copy of Blair's Uboat war series.

Travelling from Glasgow to London by train to attend Live Aid (name dropper!) my friend and I encountered a bunch of CND-ers on the same train. We had a great time with them and got very drunk. Traversing the underground out of our tiny trees is another story.

ah....almost as much fun as talking to that Sub guy last nite after mentioning nuclear tipped torps and getting solutions on Soviet subs.....only problem as he put it....and i was thinking it at the same time......the distance to the target did not exceed the blast radius of the torpedo.

in unision - "Problem!"

followed by a mutual toast of our current brew.

Hi Nik man. Did you ever grab that copy of the "book that shall not be named"?

Yeah, it's like whacko, but the criticisms don't play well in context unless you've read the thingy. I mean, who writes books or does reports about what didn't happen? Read the nonsense and then the critiques and all of a sudden there's a wealth of really cool info. Think ya should get it if it's cheap.

Oh, man.

Kwik E Mart, why would you fall for that age-old ploy? Next, you'll be telling her a certain dress makes her Alpha Sierra Sierra look big or reminding her about the chestilicious characteristics of a previous girlfriend or something. What were you thinking? DUDE.

About 25 of us are Facebook freinds and we're meeting for pizza tonight in the old hood, but still haven't seen them in person since graduation. I haven't lived in my hometown for 38 of those 39 years.

Tomorrow night is the official reunion. I'll definitely need nametags to identify them...and vice versa, for sure.

You may feel free to use the chestilicious adjective to get yourself yet further in the dog house when your S.O. hears you using it. A more widely used related adjective is bootylicious. Antonyms being craptacular or a two-bagger.

I'm sure most of our THREAD bretheren have heard of someone being 'Coyote ugly', but does everyone understand the origin of the phrase?
