Scen #17 early Aug '42:

I'm setting the stage for a Marine landing on Lunga with Naval support.

I've already loaded and transported some troops to the South of Irau Island and have set the transport to "patrol" - do not retire.

I still have many more transports to move to this location.

My question is:

Will the troops and transport (other than fuel) deteriorate or become fatigued "sitting" for a few turns while the remaining troop transports arrive?

I searched the forum already, but couldn't find a reference.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, I've reviewed some AAR and tested in my own campaign with the conclusion that there doesn't seem to be any deterioration to troops. I've now left my troops sitting in AP transports for 4 days without any visible sign of change that I can find.

However, this does not seem realistic to me. How can troops be left sitting in transports for days and not be affected in a negative way?

Well the food is probably better and they probably aren't getting malaria, but seasickness could be a problem.

They're cramped, they can't train, and they can't get out and walk around.

Troops should suffer fatigue in transports.
