Hello.
I have recently reinstalled my laptop OS (Win XP home). For security reasons, I decided to set up and use an limited user account. I'm still getting used to this approach. Most apps run well under it so far, but there some problematic ones.
Today, I installed Horse and Musket game (under admin account) and have troubles with it under 'limited user'. In-game options are lost everytime I start the game. Apparently, some write permissions problems here. Should the game be installed under limited account instead? Or is there any other fix? Before messing thigs up, I ask for advice, if you don't mind.

In Win XP Home, I have created under "Shared Documents" a folder "Shared Programs" and my limited access user IDs can play my games (editing the PIFs for a starting folder, of course). However, the user games are NOT the same games I load when I play under my admin IDs. (Confused yet?)

I found out, that when the game is started with 'run as' admin command, there seems to be no problems any more. But your solution appears to be more hassle free, without the need to type in password everytime. Thanks for answer.
