They interviewed you?

Leo "Apollo11"

Nope, I am just a small cog in a big machine. Plus I'm not from the Army so they wouldn't be interested anyway

EDIT: And if they did interview me I'm not sure I'd be able to do it seriously.

What for this time?

Just their general ****ishness when reporting on the RAF, and my little corner of it in particular. We're the current whipping boys of the defence world. When the Army lack kit or things break it's the government's fault. When the RAF lack the kit we need it's the RAF's fault.

The constant implied (and actual) criticism of the work we're doing is a bit of a downer y'know. Especially as these hacks have no idea what goes on behind the scenes on the AT fleet. Choose a date and time and there'll be RAF techies working to keep the fleet airworthy. Never mind the fact that 90% of the airbridge sorties are on time, a stat that a lot of civvy airlines would struggle to meet with a fleet a third of the age. The fact that 10% are late and that 2 jets went u/s recently is a far more important statistic.

Not helped by the Army either, at a time when all three forces are struggling for cash they seem to feel that the best thing they can do is shout over the other two and stamp their feet. Perhaps if the guys in charge of their troops made sure they behaved on the way home our jets wouldn't be quite so knackered.

Thank you my son. In a funny sort of way it's true. Besides the fact that to many of us, drinking good whiskey is a "religious experince" , I've had hammered into me by the residents of South Boston that one needs to "choose carefully" which of those two wiskeys you order in certain locations. One is considered an "Orange whiskey" the other a "Green whiskey". Guess which is which! I chose badly my 1st time.

Bushmill or Jameson?

Yes.

In order of preference for conventional fare:
Jameson 1780
Black Bush
Bush Mills
Jameson

I'm not counting lesser known brands (in the US anyways) like Knappague Castle, Powers and the excellent but hideously expensive Middleton. Tullamore Dew is well known, but doesn't do much for me.

When you finish everything else, could you please send me that turn you said you've finished? Otherwise , don't bother , I won't have time to return it for at least 24 hours.

Sorry for the delay. It took me forever to update my (overdue) AAR. I need an 'open' turn to do that when I do image captures. I'm sure there's some other work around, but that's my (odd) way. Anyhow, the turn should be nestled into your inbox comfortably now.

Try Franglais instead. C'est un lot easier. On juste dit, ou crivee, les mots on wants et puts le rest in Anglais. Merveilleux.

Andre, you can save your "open" turn in an unused slot, finish your turn for Steve and save it as usual. Send that turn away, and then go back and open your "open" save to work on AAR stuff. That lets you work on AAR stuff while Steve works on getting more of his ships sunk.
