Hi Andrew...my original stalled games are still crashing with the same circumstances (i.e. a battle group with less than 15 untits left, about to be destroyed).

Does this quote from the main post imply that this fixes will not help and existing games?

*Note* - Do to the changes in this version it is recommended you start a new game, as the data files in previous saves are not compatible.

I would post my saved game but can't seem to.

Hi Pimpyotis

Sorry no one else has answered you, I'm afraid I don't know.

It was on the list of fixes slated for the patch ... and my updates from your other post ran your saved games fine.

I do not know what was and was not included.

I updated to this version a while ago, just realised today, as i was playing the Setz map, it says the txt file is corrupted. I did an reinstall with the update, still the same problem.
So I tried playing the map on 4.50, the map works, only when I update to 4.50.10 beta, the txt file becomes corrupted, so i copy and pasted the new setz.txt with the old one, now the map works.

any one else have this problem?

Hi Wurger;

Yes, the Setz map is a problem in the beta patch. Here is a link to the support thread with an updated Setz map file (post #6); http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2503598

Why has the Fpools been able to support 25 Units but the Battlegroup Screen still has only 20 slots for displaying the Units?
Will WAR now support 25 Units in the FPools?

Does anyone else notice how slow the game is when going from the last battled played to the next strategic moves turn?

What and how does the "Rest Battlegroup" do? any readme for that?
Those graphics are the wrong color too, they are the old CCV blue.

Is there a fix to the schonberg map yet?

25 units, yes the fpools now support 25 units to make WAR compatible with TLD mods. The mod would supply the updated BG screen changing the 20 slots to 25 slots.

Slow down, haven't noticed but then again I have not played WAR since LSA so would have to test again to see if what you are saying is happening to my installation.

Rest Battlegroup, this has been added to make WAR compatible with TLD mods. The mod would provide the check box, along with the cohesion and fatigue boxes to show a BG's status.
- Resting helps a BG recover these two items.
- if both sides BG's select rest no battle will occur

For schonberg I think you just need to delete the rfm file....

i'd have to re-check but I think there is more error checking here now as this area has historically been an area prone to bugginess and game crashes.... I prefer slowness.

So are these items in WAR just for the purpose of playing tLD Mods or are they going to be implemented in WAR?

The features can be implemented in WAR since they are there but I do not know if Matrix/S3T plan to update the Battles, Operations and Campaigns to do so....

probably doesn't belong here but could someone look into what happens when hitting reinforce during there GC?

I see that in  my attempt to convert WAR into VetBoB that when that is used it adds 5 extra teams to the FP and the option of revert doesnt take it off the screen.
I have all the slots set at -1 and 0 after 20

Any chance this patch also reverted other issues than the few map errors that have been posted?
I thought I remember seeing this issue with depleted teams awhile back.
Sometimes it crash's,sometimes it doesn't.
I was able to play through though

Have never seen that before. When you saw it before was it in the original stock game?

If I remember correctly this was an issue when the game first came out.

Playing my current GC I see when units are fatigued that they start the Battle either winded or fatigued.
But if you just put them on ambush for a few minutes they end up being ok.
Seems weird to have vehicle crews winded.
Also seems as if resting a BG doesn't give back much in terms of health (if thats what one would call it)
Is this pretty much how it is in tLD?

Cohesion and fatigue use an internal system in the game engine called a 'trait'.   When you adjust a 'trait' value the amount of increase / decrease is scaled based on the magnitude of the current value and the magnitude of the change.  The closer to the maximum the current value is, the less of any increase is applied, and vice-versa.

As an example, if you rest a BG overnight it should recover about 1/3 the amount of cohesion it is down from the maximum.  If your BG is at 50% cohesion and your rest overnight it will be at about 66%.  If it rests overnight again it will be at about 77%.  Resting a 1% cohesion BG over night should take it to ~33%.

tLD example: Resting for one day turn in TLD (with 4 turns per day) will only get you back ~4% cohesion if you're at 50%.

Note: There are only 10 graphical states in tLD/WaR so a 4% increase may not register graphically

hmmm.. this probably should be looked at as it was fixed in internal alpha test builds.

I noticed today that several of my BG's that I haven't moved the past 2 turns are not getting any better with the cohesion/fatigue.
I did not use the check box for "Rest BG" on either turn since I wasn't using or moving them and also just plain forgot to.

You didn't rest them, so they were on alert, then you won't see much if any change.... So in your post above you have basically answered your own question.

What do the %'s here represent?
Are we missing a graphic to explain it and show what side is who?

That is the overall Cohesion for the two sides. Allies are on top and Axis on the bottom. Definitely should have graphics/text explaining it.

Are you playing a mod?

Just tried the stock game and those percentages do not appear. They are available in WAR to allow for compatibility with TLD mods and should only appear if a mod is installed.

The mod maker needs to adjust the graphic.

I have modded the game yes,but didn't change anything along the lines posted.
I havent used a Mod installer either, everything I've done was written over the originall files.
With the exception of the Splashscreen,Tanks,Guns,BG_Unit Icons my game has all the original graphics.

Anyone else have this problem?

I have downloaded the latest patch, and have opened the Campaign.text file to modify it to include "night" turns

I do not see where this is possible

Could matrix provide more information on how to do this or was this not included in this update as previously stated?

Before I go changing the graphic can someone tell me if the current patch allows for the expansion to 25 slots to the Force Pool window that's in the Scenario Editor?
This would be the window that pops up when choosing to view the BattleGroup Info.

Thanks
