Ah...........nice to be home. The only thing I missed more than the a$$-crease in my favorite chair was UV.

I was playing one of the short scens just to get a dose of UV and all of a sudden there were all of these "s"s all over the map. On every point of land these was a white dot and an "s". Never saw that before. I restarted the game and they went away.

Of course when I restatred my firewall gave me a warning that UV was trying to contact the internet. I said "No' of couse just out of habit but then I figured maybe there was a new patch. But when I checked I already have the most current patch.

Hi Mojo,

I know what you mean. I'm just back from a 3-week holiday myself without any UV (except the manual).

Those small 's' marks shallow water hexes. You can turn it on and off with F2. Think it was added in 1.10 so it's not in the manual.

That's a feature, actually. :) I'm guessing you accidentally hit the F2 key. Try it out, it should put a small "s" on the map in every shallow water hex. Another use of F2 should clear them.

LOL. Thanks Erik and BPRE. I guess that's what comes from playing in a totally dark room and being a crappy typist.

Too much shallow water for me to leave that feature on:D . I just always figured if you can see the land, the water is probably getting shallow.
