Hey, low expectations avoid disappointment!

Were you a Cubs or a Bears fan when you lived here?

Both. And now I continue that tradition by supporting Notts Forest and Notts County Cricket Club.

As well as Notts Berry farm!

That's Knotts Berry Farm, bub. Home of some of the finest Jams known to mankind. They make a mean chicken dinner with all the fixins too.

Watch out for a new virus!

Techie stuff:

Win32/Visal.B is a new worm that is currently propagating using mass emailing, and copying itself to local drives and network shares. Please note: the worm does not leverage a vulnerability in a specific product, but rather, uses a social engineering technique called URL obfuscation to trick a user to launch a malicious SCR file.

Human speak:

A fast-moving email worm that began spreading on Thursday has been able to affect hundreds of thousands of computers worldwide, anti-virus provider Symantec warned.

The email arrives with the subject “Here you have.” An executable screensaver that's disguised as a PDF document then tries to send the same message to everyone listed in the recipient's address book. The .scr file is a variation of the W32.Imsolk.A@mm worm Symantec discovered last month.

In addition to spreading through email, it can propagate through mapped drives, autorun and instant messenger. It also has the ability to disable various security programs.

Great! Chickenboy has a habit of saying "There you go" each time he sends me a turn!

There you go (again)!

The subject line of almost all of my turns to you is simply the date of the turn, Steve-a-rino.

But they never hesitate to rag on us because our soccer is "lacking". No one ever does this to the Canadians! Maybe because they understand hockey? (Soccer with skates, sticks ,pads and a big 250 pound guy with no teeth "body-checking" your skinny Euro A$$!

Dunno about all that. The Czechs, Swedes and Norweigians have put together some pretty good hockey teams of late, Steve.

Who cares. I have a Mac.

Yeah. You have a computer that no one even bothers to screw with!

I would bet that many of these viruses would not work on a Commadore 64 either, Steve.

And whose fault is that that she's not interested in trying it? Shouldn't you be using your log-based tools of persuasion towards this effort?

Absolutely true. The fact that I'm constantly fighting them on 1year old, then top of the line Dell, tells me I made the right choice. But then again, no one tries to steal a Yugo either. Does Log boy drive a Yugo? He might. He does live in the strangest city in North America.

Of course! They have always had them. But how truly Euro are they? Do they use the Euro? And do they refer to themselves as European or Scandanavian. Using them as examples of Europe might be as skewed as using , oh say Puerteau Rico as examples of North Americans (Iie, they play soccer , very well).

I remember being jealous of my friend's Timex-Sinclair 1000 with the tape drive. He had a pretty decent 'D&D'-like game on it.

My friend had one while i had a C64. I remember reading the reviews and knew i wanted that game. Never got to play it.
Ahh, elite. My dad had a BBC B. played Elite on it forever. Think it was the first platform it was released for.

No. I emailed you about it. I'll work on it during my lunch break, and you should find it waiting for you when you get home, as usual. Don't fret dear! It isn't seemly!
