Get your mind out of the gutter. The gutters already pretty full with Historikers mind in it.

Hey, low expectations avoid disappointment!

Were you a Cubs or a Bears fan when you lived here?

Both. And now I continue that tradition by supporting Notts Forest and Notts County Cricket Club.

As well as Notts Berry farm!

That's Knotts Berry Farm, bub. Home of some of the finest Jams known to mankind. They make a mean chicken dinner with all the fixins too.

but their roller coasters arent terribly impressive.

Well, you're right about that. Good log plume though.

Of course! They have always had them. But how truly Euro are they? Do they use the Euro? And do they refer to themselves as European or Scandanavian. Using them as examples of Europe might be as skewed as using , oh say Puerteau Rico as examples of North Americans (Iie, they play soccer , very well).

My Atari 400 never ever got a virus.

Neither did my toaster. About the same memory.

BTW SLR

GFU got a slice of pita stuck in ours yesterday. Does that count?

Speaking of toasters, has everyone seen the new 'miracle toasters' out there? Apparently so many nutjobs were seeing Jesus Christ's image on toast that someone just decided to make a toaster that puts that image on ALL toast.

Personally, this is just my latest evidence that the apocalypse will soon be upon us.

The signs they are accumulating. At least toast is tasty. It's much better than having one of those mudstain-madonnas-on-an-apartment-complex-window-shrine thingies.

I have never in my life landed a job via a resume. It's always been a personal recommendation , direct application or the employer already knew me/of me.

Been my experience too....which is why after the deal fell through on the computer (and i noticed that the guy worked for a tech company locally via his signature), i offered a "tech geek" for sale as well if he and his company were interested. He told me to foward a resume so i did. odds are nothing will come of it, but after 1.75 years, i have nothing to lose by trying. Resumes and stale cover letters alone just don't do it.

I'm still mystified that you can't even get temp work.

I like to think that the messiah has a sense of humour. Why else would he keep turning up in the toast of random people who should know better...?

Any man who's seen himself in the mirror knows the Creator has a sense of humor.
