Dunno if this is still the case. Ichiro and Mauer have their own groupie chick fangirls. Neither of them has been much of a power hitter historically, particularly the former. There's a place for all famous athletes in some way or another.

Besides, wouldn't you want to attract chicks that like it regularly and often versus episodically and only 30-35 times a year?

If there's any students eyes who won't glaze over at the sentence; "The following prepositions rule the dative case of the following word; 'aus, ausser, bei, mit, nach, seit, von, zu'", then I'm not born yet.
