close, if 150 miles is close. it's just a bit north of carrabelle (gotta love the name!) it's a swamp, not a town. it's what florida naturally is when you're not trying to sell it to a bunch of yankees wanting to retire where it doesn't snow. unfortunately, with a name like tate's hell, sales haven't been so good.

Went to school in Gainesville from '72 to '76. I liked to spend winter breaks exploring the Florida back country (avoiding tourists). Snakes are less active in the wintertime too. When I read up on Tate's Hell though, it still sounded too snaky and buggy and lot like, ..... hell.

It's not the wildlife that makes it hell. It's the Nole fans.

Title of the Day: Istanbul. Written by Manning Lee Stokes. Published in October 1965. Our spy is sent to Istanbul to investigate opium smuggling. He is on loan to a foreign government to eliminate four men, one of which is named Johhny Ruthless.

Wasn't it originally published as "Constantinople"?

Exactly. They have done several restores moving backwards among the backups. I believe I've said 'good morning' three times but lost every one of them

Happiness! While zapping I found out that there's a new channel showing the NFL. Watching Dallas-Chicago right now.

Dallas seems to be doing a good job of shooting themselves in the foot these days.

Ugh...

There went my first win of the season in my fantasy football league.

I'm 0-2 also.

I was wondering about something. For our foreign friends (for the sake of argument here, I'll include the Limeys too): do you guys get involved in any 'fantasy' sports-are they as huge there as they are here? Is there a fantasy cricket or rugby league?

Might be kind of interesting to take a look-see.

As a gamer I know what a 'fantasy league' is. I suspect though, that if you asked any random man on the street, you would get a blank stare.

(Third time I have answered this post as well )

Speaking of fantasy leagues, I just won the Matrix Weekly Baseball league.

I won the football league a few years ago and my prize was WitP.  This time, I think I'm going to request the very soon to be released Harpoon - Ultimate Edition.

Well then, welcome back home. I think you'll find this part of Florida is about as close to what you knew growing up as you'll find anywhere.
