I trust you've pre and post-loaded with judicious useage of NSAIDs? Us non-Spring chickens have got to realize that our body's ability for spontaneous healing is tapering off.

Kudos to you for getting back into an exercise program in general, T. Don't kill yourself or cause massive rhabdomyelosis ('weekend warrior syndrome') though, eh? Give your body a couple months to get back into it.

Alright, I'll shut up now. I'm starting to sound like my dad...

I forgot to pre-load but I have post-loaded.

I'm going to go Monday, Wednesday and Friday, one hour per day. That's a good start, and I trust my instructor; she knew her business.

Good work, my Brother!

Amen.

Boy do I need to do the same.

Edited to correct spelling.

I'm not sure the good vet Chickenboy is giving you the right medical advice here. It sounds like going straight to morphine may be in order.

ok, yeah, but what was your max heart rate, sustained heart rate, max pedal cycle rate, sustained pedal cycle rate, how long were you in maximum heart rate zone, how long was your cool down period and what was your H2O consumption? oh, and you might as well calculate calorie burn per mile along with wattage per pedal stroke...

You know, looking at those two posts the morning after I made them, I can see why you chose those particular smileys, Kwik. Kinda funny, even I didn't realize it as I posted...

Got a story in the mail from an English colleague today. I'll post it, taking the risk of offending the entire thread

Following the events in London last week the French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from 'Run' to 'Hide'. The only two higher levels in France are 'Surrender' and 'Collaborate'. The rise was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed France's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing their military.

Updates from around Europe

The Italians have increased their alert level from "shouting excitedly" to "elaborate military posturing". Two more levels remain, "ineffective combat operations" and "change sides".

The Germans have also increased their alert state from "disdainful arrogance" to "full dress-uniform and marching songs". They have two higher levels, "invade a neighbour" and "lose".

Seeing this reaction in continental Europe the Americans have gone from
"isolationism" to "find somewhere ripe for regime change". Their remaining higher alert states are "take on the world" and "ask the British for help".

Finally here in UK we've gone from "pretend nothing's happening" to "make another cup of tea". Our higher levels are "chin-up and remain cheerful" and "win".

OK, i am now feeling offended .

NO, that's not true.
It's so sad to think that France state of mind as so much changed from WWI to WWII...Hence this kind of joke.
( i must admit that i suit perfectly well in this state of mind ).

Once Erwin Rommel made a statement about his 1940 campaign: he said that the french soldiers he seen in 1940 were already beaten in their mind. In 1914 (or during WWI) he was leading a patrol in a small wood, with an entire platoon, and he was threatened and scared by the toughness of a lone french soldier with a handful of grenade.......

OK brothers, back to sleep mode, and thanks for the joke ( i will have to digest this anyway )
