Well, here I am having to say that not all ex-things are wicked witches of the west all the time. I'm on my new, red hot laptop that was a left over. "Darn it, John, work gave me this but it is just too big and has too many lights and buttons, and I just don't know what to do with it so should I just put it in the Goodwill pile?" "Sure ... toss it on the pile. I've got a laptop, too, maybe I could use it and replace it with mine. I'll take a look and see." So we look, I fire it up and it wanted passwords, and she couldn't remember, after all that was a year ago. She tried three or four, and nothing happened, and she decided "I really don't want to deal with this; you want it, it's yours". Being strong, silent, and reasonably smart, I says "ok - probably won't work for me, but I'll see what I can do." Woof!! Top o' the line Toshiba P25; 3 GHz Pentium 4, 2 Gig RAM, wide screen, n-vidia G-Force driver, damn, my desk top is lookin pretty pathetic. So I took it out of the Goodwill pile, loaded my stuff on board, and went for a ride. Ok, I'll dump the old Presario off to Goodwill.
