Contrary to expectations I will not be spendin this weekend working nights in the cold.  Instead I'm off to bloody Cyprus for two weeks, apart from the days where I'm jet-setting to sandy mountain land

Cyprus is a dump. Got knifed there.

I've had nothing but good average experiences there. Some good times and tomfoolery, but mostly it's another foreign place where I went to spend a night. Not as good as Crete, Calgary or Washington DC. Probably better than Bangor (MA, not NW). Steer clear of the dodgy taxis (some of them) and strip clubs (all of them) and the chances of getting into trouble are reduced.

Recife on the other hand, was scary at night. Plus Cyprus would seem pretty good when my other destination was a mountain based desert airfield with angry men putting on occasional fireworks displays.

I gotta stick up for Steve here.....What's wrong with Bangor, ME?..........................

Bearing in mind I grew up in Lincolnshire, Bangor is boring...

Bad times   My aunt went for some tests after feeling unwell, the doctors sent her to the hospital for more tests and she went home.  Then they called her on Sunday night and told her she had to get there ASAP.  Turns out she's got terminal cancer and probably has weeks at best

Oh damn , Martin, sorry to hear that . Hang on pal !

Just read a post in the main AE forum that reminded me it's impossible to rationally understand the actions of an irrational person.  Why would anyone count the number of clicks it takes them to put ships into drydock in one turn?

If you focus on the negative things that is all you will see.  You will never have time to enjoy or even notice the positive things in life.    He needs more rum punch!

A round of rum punch for all of my Brothers!

You know, some day I'm going to take you up on all these virtual drinks you've bought us....

Because they were the ones that actually would have worked.

If you really have an interest in this kind of thing and want to know EVERYTHING that is being kept from you by your government, and believe me there is a whole lot of stuff that is being kept from you, read 'Matthew Tell Me About Heaven'
This book is not in any shops, but is now at Amazon.
This book should be taught to kids in school instead of the crap that you are taught.
Yes they are real, and yes they are peaceful, and they have been here for as long as the planet has been here. They will make themselves known to everyone very soon. It is our time, and that is what 2012 is all about. No-one is going to die, it's just another scare story. Read the book if you are genuinely interested.

Yes, we are here. But do not listen to the 2012 prophecies, or any other prophecies for that matter. What will be will be. Our role is to try to help you avoid a catastrophe. Nothing is pre-ordained.

Capt Farg.

Peace.

Eric, sometimes it's better than getting worked up over some of the habitual negative posters around the forums. No, it's ALWAYS better.

Very true! It gets hard to understand the rational people, and the irrational one's start to make sense. That's when you need a cure, another round.
