To provide a little more background, Scipio (the Elder) failed when he tried to storm the city between Cisalpine Gaul and the province to the east of the Appennines... he then started to bounce around a little crazily in camp between those two provinces - I think he ended the turn in the next province south, then reappeared in Cisalpine Gaul... almost in two places at once. Eventually I caught and killed him in Placentia, but I think the game thinks he is still alive. There must be an error in the code involving 1) Scipio, or 2) what happens to a Roman army in Cisalpine Gaul when it fails in storming a city.

It happened a third time when I reloaded, so I am afraid I am SOL. Too bad too, was looking good.

Well, I am mortified to see the error that you describe. If you still have the saved game, could you please post that? It really helps a lot.

Of course, you are a paying customer and it's not your job to help me debug. I don't want anyone to think that I regard the customers as paying beta testers.

I'll get on this and the error that Mario Vallée reported as fast as I can. I am sorry for your inconvenience.

I think that you can post them in this thread as a .zip attachment. But you can pm them to me if that proves to be easier for you.

Thanks again for making the extra effort on this matter.

Well, the original crash report shows the problem. So what is happening is clear. And it's as you surmise. There was a bad extra reference to Scipio and his army floating around.

However, I haven't been able to duplicate this error or deduce how it happens. I'll keep looking. If this happens again, anything that you can remember about it will be helpful. Right now it's very obscure to me.

Now, to clarify, let me ask you something. You had this same crash in two different games that you started from scratch? Or were the subsequent problems occurring in one game that you reloaded a couple of times?

Thanks for the help. And if you don't remember of course that's not a problem. But if you do it might help.
