I am convinced that you are in a great position to make him suffer right now - I don't read your opponent's AAR, but I doubt that he has the forces to seriously compete with a Landbased airattack of elite pilots within escort range of your Fighters and maybe a few carriers? - I am following your reports closely and can't wait to see how you deal with this onslaught!

Thanks a lot for your kind words, but Jonathan is a very good player, with years of experience like AFB and he is confident about his strategic choices, for sure. For the other hand I am pretty sure he doesn´t knows about my will to fight in a hardly defensive perimeter like a black beast to avoid any advantage for the allies in the onslaught to end with "my empire". However in few days he will be greatly surprised

SUBJECT: SUBMARINE WARFARE REPORT
DATE: APRIL 27TH, 1942

I-169 was torpedoed off Shortland Island when arriving this base for urgent repairs. She was heavily damaged after been attacked by USN warships in Eastern Australian coast. One torpedo struck her from a unidentified USN Electric Boat this morning. LcDR Watanabe and all hands were lost.

AP Crescent City was unsuccesfully engaged by I-7 off Ndeni. 2 torpedoes were launched with no hits reported. In a follow up attack, our boat luanched a second attack against enemy transports at Ndeni engaging at night time XAK HENRY S. GROVE, this enemy ship was sunk after 3 torpedo and 6 deck gun shell hits. At morning our boat was attacked by depth charges by an enemy destroyer and 1 SBD-3. Light damages were reported after a near miss (19 System damaged reported). Our boat will follow with her war patrol to shadow and attack if possible enemy landing forces off Ndeni.

Ten submarines from SUBRON 1 are playing a "cat and mouse" game with USN ships around Santa Cruz Island. No less than 1 enemy carrier and 2 battleships were spotted with several escorts. Near 20 transports were spotted by our FloatPlanes in this area.

heavy air strikes against enemy facilities at China, like bellow:
82 IJA level bombers escorted by 6 Ki-27 strike Sian frontline reporting 13 casualties form 36th Chinese Corps.
50 Ki-27 escorting 55 Ki-51 strike Changteh AF reporting 7 airbase, 5 airbase supply and 75 runway hits.
01 enemy SB-III soviet-build bomber was downed over Lashio (Burma) by Ki-43s from 3rd AirDiv.

Our Hvy Arty elements bombard enemy ground forces in Sian Front reporting 37 enemy casualties. Enemy has attacked 41st Infantry Division (A brigade) in the northern river bank. 1.032 casualties were reported vs 399 chinese lost. 41st A/Division have withdrew to their rearguard to gather with 41st I.D.

Another Hvy Arty Bn will arrive tomorrow with one tank regiment awaited too in few days at Sian Front.

I-5 was unsuccesfully engaged by ASW assets near Victoria. Enemy minesweeper identified. At night time xAKL Pacific was torpedoed by I-5 near Victoria and sunk after two torpedo hits.

XAK FORTHBANK was engaged at surface 160 nm West of Perth by I-122. 3 shell hits and 2 torpedoes sent her to bottom.

AO Sabine was torpedoed near Utupua Island at Santa Cruz Islands by I-173. 03 torpedoes hit the oiler and sunk quickly. Enemy USN destroyer began a retaliaton attack with depth charges against our boat without any success. No hits or minor damages were reported onboard.

SBD-3 Dauntless was damaged by Flak fire from I-7 when surprised at surface by enemy aircraft.

Two new submarines have join to SUBRON1 to shadaow and harass enemy landings there. Orders to all my skippers to sunk enemy carrier like prioritary target!.

Heavy air ASW activities over Santa Cruz Island with dive and torpedo bombers.

30 british blenheim Is were intercepted at night time over Magwe by 10 Ki-43Ic at night CAP. 2 Oil hits were reported there. NO enemy aircrafts were downed.

30 Ki-43Ic escorted 53 IJA level bombers to strike Colmilla AF. 2 Blenheims were destroyed on ground and 11 casualties, 2 airbase, 5 airbase supply and 15 runway hits were reported in this strike.

22 IJA level bombers scorted by 60 fighters (Ki-43/Ki-44) stomred for a second time Colmilla AF reporting another 5 runway hits.

A third wave was launched in the afternoon against Colmilla with 6 Ki-48IIa heavily escorted with 78 fighters. No enemy on CAP. 3 runway hits were reported.

Its a death trap...
Only one CVE with escorts to provoke allied Carrier TF react to north and fall into torpedo-armed Betties/Nells range. These aircrafts are awaiting transfer of HQ to be torpedo armed and ready to take off with enough escort fighters (now only Chitose Ku S-1 ready). If Jonathan has his carriers TGs with Do React Option activated he probably falls in the trap. More than 100 twin engine bombers are ready awaiting the opportunity

i will report any event !

ENEMY CARRIER SPOTTED NEAR VANIKORO ISLAND THIS EARLY MORNING. ENEMY CARRIER SHADOWED UNTIL GET A GOOD POSITION TO LAUNCH A TORPEDO SALVO.

AT 03:55Z WITH 100% MOONLIGHT ENEMY CARRIER (IDENTIFIED LIKE USS HORNET) WAS SIGHTED WITH HER SILOUTTE CUT BY MOON. TORPEDO OFFICER GET DATA FROM TDT AND A SALVO OF 4 TORPEDOES WAS LAUNCHED AGAINST THIS JUICY TARGET. TWO TORPEDOES EXPLODES AT STARBOARD AND MY BOAT SUBMERGES TO AVOID ENEMY RETALIATION ATTACK. OUR SONARIST REPORTED ENEMY CARRIER WAS SUNK AFTER SEVERAL SUBMERGED EXPLOSIONS WERE REGISTER.

USS HORNET SUNK NEAR VANIKORO ISLAND. ENEMY DESTROYERS LAUNCHED A FURIOUS DEPTH CHARGE ATTACK PINGING US BY HOURS BUT NO HITS NEITHER NEAR MISSES WERE REPORTED AND OUR BOAT GET UNDERWAY AT CRUISE SPEED HEADING NORTHWEST DIVING DEPTH.

THIS MESSAGE WAS SENT TO TULAGI IJN RADIO STATION AND MUST BE RELAYED TO 4TH FLEET CINC -TRUK-, COMBINED FLEET CINC -KURE- AND 11ST AIR FLEET CINC -RABAUL.

OFFICERS, MYSELF AND SAILORS HAVE BEEN CELEBRATED THIS GREAT SUCCESS WITH SPECIAL RATIONS OF SAKE THIS AFTERNOON AFTER ELUDE ENEMY PURSUING DESTROYERS !

However FoW would confuse me... Two torpedoes like USS LEXINGTON, I am not sure if USS HORNET is really sunk...but it was reported !!
Tomorrow a massive counterstrike will begin to throw out devil yanks from Santa Cruz Island.

AP TASKER H. BLISS WAS ENGAGED AT SURFACE OFF NDENI BY I-3. 4 SHELL HITS AND 4 TORPEDOES SENT HER TO BOTTOM. A GREAT ATTACK TRANSPORT SUNK AT SANTA CRUZ. ENEMY IS PAYING A LARGE PRICE FOR THIS LITTLE ISLANDS.

After arrival several supply convoys with enough war supplies for our air assets, i have ordered to retake air strikes against enemy facilities in the northern australian bases.

95 IJN level bombers escorted by 25 A6M2 have strike Darwin reporting 22 casualties, 9 airbase, 4 airbase supply and 98 runway hits.

Recon flights have been ordered over Wyndham, katherine, Derby, Broome and Darwin.

In few days Lautern and Dili will be available like main airfields for IJAAF 5TH AIRDIV.
