Because you have nowhere to put them, and besides, you know who'd be tasked with making a shelter if you did (have somewhere), that's just more paintbrush time!

Reminds me of being at USAF boneyard in 1985. There were thoasands of planes lined up for what seemed miles and miles.

I will never forget the scores of B-52s and scout helicopters that seemed to go on forever.

ANd here is a site I ran across a few years ago. A young Russian woman takes a motorcycle tour through Cherynoble. There are pictues of radioactive Soviet military hardware abandoned.

I remember going to the AFB museum down there 7 years ago, the museum and the planes were cool but what impressed me most was that for our 40 minute bus trip if you looked out the window all you saw for miles and miles was plans lined up in the distance. It was freaking incredible...

It would have had to be a covert ops Al, if the missus found out both me and jet would be in big trouble

That Boneyard sounds like stuff for a future boys trip!

You can actually buy a Chernobyle sightseeing now, includes a full radioactive scan and a required "no responsibility" form!
Great way to get a glow and tan in the winter.
