Hi all,

I have this "PC Remote Controller" and it is great little thing (4$ including shipment from eBay)!

It comes in 2 variants - mine is smaller and black (I need it for my laptop / notebook) and the other one is bigger and silver.

Here are the "instructions" in "China English" .

Please read it and if you understand how to program A,B,C,D Hot Keys by reading the "instructions" please post here (I did manage to figure it out - but just partially)...

Further exploration of AE reveals confusion.

Was Warspite really in Seattle at the start of the war?

Warspite1

Yes she was. The Old Lady had been badly damaged, courtesy of three bomb carrying Me-109's, off Crete in May 1941 .
As with many RN ships during WWII, she was sent to the US for repairs; in her case to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, where she received a comprehensive refit and repair job between 11th August and 28th December .

Thank you sir. Its an interesting tidbit. I knew of various chips being repaired on the east coast, of course, but I didnt know that any had been sent the long way.

I'm not sure why Bremerton was chosen - maybe, it was thought too risky to ask the Old Lady to traverse the Mediterranean and with that in mind, sailing from Alexandria to Bremerton was not that much different to sailing all the way around Africa and then across to the east coast?

Yeah, speaking of which...

The turn that Mike and I 'dropped' yesterday morning still is resting comfortably in the dropbox where we left it.

Dear Andre, that turn is but a Spacechicken interim turn, and is waiting for a Player 1 password.

I wish I realized yesterday that you guys thought it was ended from your side.  Steve and I both saw it and talked about it, but didn't bring it up.

Just had a very strange battle when the Tulsa ran into two Japanese AKs which sported 150mm guns.

Hey, Yuri, it sounds like you ran into a pair of AMC's.  Was it around the Canton Island area?  I think they have two of them that start the game around there.

Around Jessleton.

Incidentally, why do my PT TFs keep retreating? Commander aggression?

No. They're running away from brother Brushhats' anal probes.

Devious aliens.

Is there a difference between "Hit! But no explosion." and "Torpedoes fail to detonate"?

As in reality, PT Boats only press an attack if they've got a good attack angle and can surprise the enemy. Otherwise, they abort.

Well, yes. But in the old game there were at least a few points in Burma that could have been held. Looking at the AE map, however, I'm seeing a lot of good land for maneuver (Japanese maneuver, I mean, not mine).

The only times I've had successes with PT boats is when I've waited for the moonlight to be near 0%. Bad weather also helps getting into knife range.

The Indian border is probably the best place to defend Burma, early doors your Brit/Indian infantry are pretty poor and the Burmese infantry are worse The best you can hope for is to slow down the Japanese advance without getting cut-off and killed.

It seems that running like heck is the best option. Of course this is against the AI.

Is there a button to court martial commanders for pusillanimous conduct in the face of the enemy?

You can, of course, pay PP to replace MOST commanders. I think what you're looking for is a button, with Cyrillic writing on it, that says "take him out and shoot him". Alas, no such luck in this game.

Good advice. Defending in this terrain gives you time to spot where the jap focus lies. This combined with better internal lines of communication (than S of the mountain range) makes it a good place to make a stand. Just beware of invasion in the Chittagong/Calcutta area though, which could cause you to be outflanked.

Edited: Grammar.
