I have TOAOW on my secondary computer, which is not connected to the Internet (to do so would require drilling a hole in my wall, which isn't that great an idea in a rented apartment). What I'm wondering is about PBEM play and updating the game. How do I do either of those when the computer that has the game isn't connected to the net and the computer that is connected to the net doesn't have the game?

Assuming you do have a machine with a net connection, how about either a wireless net of your own, or else sneaker-net with a thumb drive to walk it from machine to machine ?

Good ideas. Thanks. I am actually getting a wireless router next week, though I'm wondering where I'll find a wireless adapter for the non-net-connected PC.

I just use a regular router and I have a 32' cable that reaches anyplace in my home.

Yeah, I'm a cheap bastard.

32 feet long?  Is that all?  I used to have a phone like that back in 1960.

You could always download the zip files to your computer with the net connection. Then tranfer them to a memory stick and then tranfer them to the computer that has the game installed
