Naw....the VA has a 20% co-pay. And generally the need to remove testicles is not service related. Unless it's due to promotion. O-6 and above have testicles, backbone, and ethics removed, but that's usually done at active duty hospitals.

You know, on the limited scale of that scenario its very apparent that the USN had some major cajones getting involved in there and got damned lucky just to achieve their strategic objectives.

I'm very much looking forward to disusing your whys and whatfors after the game.

This reminds me ...

surgeons liked to complete amputations in as little time as possible in the days before anesthetics, which caused a few to be "speed demons"... so one surgeon (Robert Liston) determined to set the record, and he did, but it was for an operation that caused 300% mortality.

He quickly amputated the patient's leg (setting a speed record of under 2.5 minutes), but also amputated the fingers of his assistant. Both died of gangrene. He also slashed through the coattails of a distinguished surgical spectator. The latter was (depending on who tells it) so appalled at the proceedings, or so frightened by his near slashing that he died on the spot. This is supposedly the only operation in history with a 300% mortality.

Liston's SECOND most famous operation was when he had previously set the speed record for a leg amputation: 2 1/2 minutes, but in his enthusiasm also removing the patient's testicles.

It is not known if he filled out the proper paperwork afterwords (or if he charged for the extra work).

No, no, the beer around here is always the good stuff. We'll do ya right.

Sailors and expensive liquor on the other hand.....that's the formula for legendary disasters......

I will have to keep a bottle of the good Haitian Rhum Barbancourt in reserve for a visit. This DOES have all the makings of a legendary disaster!

Yeah, this COULD have the makings of another hurricane KaJWEna. But then, I am a trifle old, so I probably couldn't do that much damage.

That's not a luger. It looks like a Browning buck target pistol (22cal).

Don't think that's a Luger... it looks like a Luger-wannabe pistol called an AMT Lightning, i think... i read Ruger made something similar...

EDIT: i think this might be an AMT Baby Automag... despite its size, it is only a .22 cal.

Thank you.

But I'm also learning a lot.

Which is a nice way of saying that I'm getting my ass kicked so hard that in some circles it might be mistaken for sexual deviance.

Is this done with the same mandated ***-hole enlargement procedure for O-6s?

Hey don't be so harsh. That particular orifice gets enlarged though years of receiving instruction and constructive criticism. Its only natural that they dispense the same when they themselves reach lofty heights.

Well, we do know how she got them. (She HAS got a gun--alright, a little one). What was it somebody said about getting more with a gun with a gun and a kind word than with just a kind word?

Political "correctness" strikes again. The Bryan Ferry song "Slave to love" is now called "S***e to love" on iTunes. Apparently, "slave" is a bad word.
