Ignore him Eric....he's obviously not a music lover! From his post on the geezer thread I'd venture to say he's a "geezer".

Either that or a song from 1706, The recruiting Officer.

Our 'prentice Tom may now refuse
To wipe his scoundrel Master's Shoes,
For now he's free to sing and play
Over the Hills and far away.
Over the Hills and O'er the Main,
To Flanders, Portugal and Spain,
The queen commands and we'll obey
Over the Hills and far away.

We all shall lead more happy lives
By getting rid of brats and wives
That scold and bawl both night and day -
Over the Hills and far away.
Over the Hills and O'er the Main,
To Flanders, Portugal and Spain,
The queen commands and we'll obey
Over the Hills and far away.

Courage, boys, 'tis one to ten,
But we return all gentlemen
All gentlemen as well as they,
Over the hills and far away.
Over the Hills and O'er the Main,
To Flanders, Portugal and Spain,
The queen commands and we'll obey
Over the Hills and far away.

You may recognise it as the theme song from the Sharpe series.

I perfer the recruiting Sargent's:

Chorus:
For it's over the mountain and over the main
Through Gibralta to France and Spain
It's a feather to your bonnet, a kilt upon your knee
So list bonny laddie and come awa' wi' me

Now, twa recruting sergeants came frae the black watch
Through markets and fairs some recruits for to catch
But all that they listed was forty and twa
So list bonny laddie and come awa'

Now, laddie, you canna know the danger that you're in
If your horses was to fly and your house was to ruin
This greedy, old farmer will na' pay your fee
So list bonny laddie and come awa' wi' me

For its out by the barn and in by the fire
This old farmer thinks he'll never tire
It's a slavery job of lowly degree
So list bonny laddie and come awa' wi' me

Now, laddie, if you have a sweetheart in the barn
You'll easy be rid of her ill-spun yarn
Twa rattles on the drum and that will pay it all
So list bonny laddie and come come awa'

Moving house tomorrow, no domestic interwebs until next Friday. Dau and wife distraught at the prospect.

Good luck with the move, Simon! (And dealing with two distraught females for a week! )

Lots of coffee shops here provide free wifi. Do you guys have "tea shops" that do the same?

If you drink coffee, you could have a coffee addiction. Then when you sleep you can't drink coffee, so you wake up feeling like crap unit you get your first fix.

The man screams and reaches for something, anything, but all he can find is a bottle of cough syrup! Desperate, he throws the cough syrup at the casket...

and,

The coffin stops

damn, i didn't catch this one

Coffin sounds like coughing in English.
