Messenges to Imperial General HQ, December 7th 1941:

From: VADM Nagumo, Carrier Strike Force, Aboard Akagi

Emperor,
The Attack on Pearl Harbor has been a great success. Our planes arrived at Pearl Harbor undetected and totally surprised the American Forces. There was no fighter cap and consequently we managed to destroy more than 50 planes on the ground, whereas only 5 of our planes did not return. The battleships BB Arizona and BB Tennessee have reported sunk as well as the DM Pruitt, DMS Trevor, CL Helena, DD Mugford, PC Tiger, DD MacDonough, DM Breese, DD Farragut, AM Bobolink and DMS Perry. The battleships BB Oklahoma, BB Maryland, BB California, BB Nevada and BB West Virginia as well as the CA New Orleans, CL St. Louis, CA San Francisco, CL Raleigh, CL Detroit, Cl Honolulu, Cl Phoenix and many other auxiliary ships have been heavily damaged with multiple torpedo and bomb hits. Unfortunately, the American carriers were not at Pearl Harbor. Tomorrow we will strike again to finish off the rest of the American Pacific Fleet.

============================================================================

From: LGEN Ohara, 5th Air Division, Takao

Emperor,
Air raids on the Phillipinian bases Iba and Clark Field have crippled the US Air Force. We have destroyed many of their planes on the ground, destroyed their facilities and runways without any significant losses of our own. We expect to destroy the last remnants of the USAFFE Air Force within a couple of days.

============================================================================

From: RADM Matsunaga, 22nd Air Flottilla, Saigon

Emperor,
Our scouts have detected two British battleships near Singapore Naval Base en route to intercept our landings at Khota Bharu. An immediate air strike was lauched. The Repulse was sunk after 7 torpedo hits. The Prince of Wales was crippled with one torpedo hit and managed to sneak away. She will be in the drydocks for quite a while.

============================================================================

From: LGEN Yamashita, 25th Army, Singora

Emperor,
Our invasion of Malaya is going according to plan. Initial Landings in Singora, Patani and Khota Bharu are proceeding smoothly. Our aircraft have destroyed the British bases near our landing sites and British air raids out the direction of Singapore have been repelled and destroyed. Two British battleships have been intercepted by our torpedo bombers and are retreating after many hits.

============================================================================

From: COL Saito, 24th JAAF AF Bn, Batan Island

Emperor,
We have taken control of Batan Island. The Americans have surrendered.

============================================================================

From: Emperor Dennishe, Imperial General HQ, Tokyo
To: CDR Uegushi, Midway Bombardement Force, Aboard DD Ushio
Concerning: Sinking of AO Shiriya.

REPORT TO TOKYO IMMEDIATELY!!!

Concerns: Final plans for taking the DEI, TOP SECRET

Emperor,
Here are the final plans for taking the DEI, Malaya and the Philippines. The 25th Army, currently landing in Khota Bharu, will take Malaya and the British naval base Singapore. The 14th Army will land at Luzon and destroy the main part of the USAFFE. Troops of the Imperial Japanese Navy will land at Northern Borneo and establish a major air base at Kuching. Units of the 16th Army will take Kendari and establish a major air base there. From these two strongholds the final attack on Java, in the center of the DEI will commence. Also other important bases in the DEI will be attacked from here.

Nice to have you back, Dennishe.  Am I right that after the release of AE, you hung back with WitP for awhile?  So are you just now making the transition?

==========================================================================

From: RADM Takenaka, 23rd Air Flottilla, Takao

Hello dennishe, smooth campaign tor now, maybe except loss of Ikazuchi.
Just for sure: Southeast Area Fleet commander is VADM Kusaka (Jinichi Kusaka I thing because his cousin Ryunosuke was RADM) not Kusoka, right??
Greets and good luck
