Ok, a bit of a rant.....

I just discovered that vehicles require 1:1 support. Geez, Louise, can't they turn the bulldozers off? Seabee battalions are the support killers of the game -- they require 30+ more support than they have. And they build up in Noumea, so pretty soon Noumea is short of support -- unless you keep a couple of badly needed base forces in the hex. Now, they're not *doing* anything in Noumea, but they require support. Other units suffer because the motor's running.....

I really think vehicles should require 1/2 the normal support, if any at all. I think they should require supplies to operate, but not so much support. I know about vehicle maintenance, but that's covered in the supply requirements, not the support requirements.

I thought vehicles required "vehicle support" and not regular support. Vehicles shouldn't be taking support from your other units in that case. If you have a shortage of vehicle support your vehicles will be listed as disabled, which IS like turning them off since they're not doing anything.

So, does anyone know if construction vehicles require vehicle support or is it only tanks?

Noumea can't run out of supply.

Ah, yes, but Supply <> Support. What's been happening to me is that new CBs and Engineers have been showing up in Noumea, and they have far outstripped the *support* points there. Every CB unit drains about 30 *support* points from the surrounding area, regardless of how much *supply* is present. And since I lack support, units start to degrade as elements are disabled (a disabled step counts only 1/2 a support point).

Granted, this is not as big a problem in Noumea as it is in, say, Lunga, because of the base size and the supply, but I currently have some Seabees floating around looking for a place to land. Where ever they land will start having support problems.

Like I said, vehicles shouldn't require support.
