Well, War in the East is going to be released within the next month. Where did I put the keys to my Tiger tank?

Next to the keys for my Ferdinand I'm tempted by this one...

I have a feeling things may get a bit quiet around these parts for a few weeks after the release.

I'm not as big of a fan of land warfare as naval, but I'll be keeping a close eye on this one. I could be tempted.... if there is ever time to play it in my life.

You need keys to start a tiger tank?!

I wonder who had the key concession for the German Army?

Andre, sorry to disappoint, but I'm too tired to focus on the turn tonight.  Steve will hopefully get his part finished and I'll try to get my end wrapped up early in the day tomorrow.

WitE is good (or was in alpha testing, when I was there), but the lack of ships is a negative for me.

WitE is the same "magnitude" (or stronger) than WitP / WitP:AE... it is here to stay for long long time...

Mike, the WitE is Grognard game... it is VERY captivating... it is WitP / WitP:AE on Eastern Front (with perhaps even greater depth than imaginable)... from now on you will have to divide time between WitP:AE and WitE...

One at the time Eric...

For example in past 1.5 years it was WitE exclusively (and BftB for autotesting on my spare machines)...

Before starting Witp in PBEM, i was mainly on Civ4 and Age-of-wonders II; but a PBEM is so time consuming (and a bit of real life too ) that i focus on one game at a time.

A British destroyer just arrived at Capetown in my PBEM. HMS Inconstant?!

What's next? HMS Inconsistant? HMS Inconsequent? Silly Brits...

Thread Quiz for you sleepyheads:

The ship pictured below was commissioned by the US in 1944, and served (alas) in the Atlantic during the war. Later she was transferred to another country, and arguably saved that country from conquest when it sank ANOTHER former-US ship in an action in the WITP area of operations (though not during WW2.)

What is the ship? Any of the 3 "names" will do?

Well, now i have found a total of SIX different names that the ship was known by - mostly due to different ways of translating the name into English (another hint).

Hi Leo,

I think we will put this one in the time will tell basket, and I was not trying to offend anyone, just passing-on my thoughts.

>1 hour with no guesses, so here is a clue (more to follow):

After her career in the Atlantic, the ship transferred to become a training vessel, and her name was changed.
