I have a Windows 7 64-bit Dell computer. Which Matrix games work with Windows 7? I'm especially interested in "Harpoon" and "Carriers at War".

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I can confirm that Harpoon works on Win7x64.

Glad to hear that. Although I'm sure the games are good (I'm an old "Harpoon" player from the early 1990s) I hate to order one and find out it won't load or run.

Maybe I can get some input on what other Matrix games are Windows 7 compatable, too.

I have read in the Harpoon forum that the editors do not work with Windows 7 64 bit. The game does, but apparently the editor is only for 32 bit.

This thread describes the editors that work/won't work: Harpoon Ultimate Editors

This is the forum for Harpoon Ultimate Edition. You may wish to poke around there for other threads discussing the editor issue. I did see one that mentions a need for Access 97 or such located here..

Usually, the editor isn't a big deal with me ...rarely run it. Just so the game itself works on a Windows 7 64-bit.

The Harpoon Classic side of Harpoon Ultimate has the limitation that the scenario editor will not run natively on 64-bit versions of Windows.  The game itself and the other editors will run on 64-bit Windows versions.

The scenario editors of the H3/ANW side of Harpoon Ultimate work on 64-bit versions of Windows.

Hi Rick,

On our Store page for each game, it lists the supported Operating Systems. If you see Windows 7 there, you should be fine.

Regards,

- Erik
